In this role, you will drive the product vision for security functions and infrastructure that support operations both in Australia and across international missions. Backlog Management: Gather, analyse, and prioritize stakeholder requirements into a clear backlog focused on Business Value and ROI.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders to balance conflicting needs and manage expectations.
Delivery Oversight: Work closely with IT partners to provide detailed feature specifications and ensure smooth, high-quality delivery.
Change Advocacy: Act as the Product Ambassador, inputting into organisational change management to ensure successful uptake of new functionalities.
Performance Tracking: Monitor product metrics and user feedback to continuously refine the backlog and mitigate roadblocks.
You are not just a backlog administrator; you are a leader who can navigate complex environments with governance and rigour.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven Experience: Extensive track record as a Product Owner (or similar) in complex enterprise or government environments.
Agile Expertise: Strong practical understanding of Agile principles, with the ability to adapt them to formal governance structures.
Communication Mastery: Exceptional ability to translate between technical teams and business stakeholders, managing conflicting priorities with diplomacy.
Analytical Mindset: Data-driven approach to decision-making, problem-solving, and ROI assessment.
Security Clearance: Must hold a current Australian Government NV1 Clearance.
Desirable:
Previous experience working with Federal Government policy, security frameworks, and governance standards.
Impact: Work on systems that directly support the safety and security of Australian operations worldwide.
Challenge: Engage with a complex, high-stakes portfolio that requires genuine problem-solving skills.
Growth: Enhance your career by leading products within a significant government portfolio.
